Fast start up is a setting that helps your PC start faster after
shutdown and by default it is turned on in windows. Windows does this by saving
image of operating system kernel and loaded drivers to the hiberfile. Windows
loads the hiberfile into memory to resume your PC instead of restarting it. You
need to shut down and then start your PC again for fast startup to take effect.
You need to login as Administrator to your machine to do this task.
Go to control panel and select Power Options icon shown in
figure below;
When you click on Power Options in control panel you will
see the following view shown in figure below;
Click on the Change settings that are currently unavailable
link at the top showing in figure below;
If you want to enable fast startup you must click check
button otherwise uncheck it and click button save changes.
After saving changes you must shutdown your PC and start
again take effect.
