1In this post I will show you how to change your AD password from AD Self Service Plus software which I already installed on my AD Server. I will discuss its installation in my next post. AD Self Service Plus is freeware for 50 domain users. After its installation I have set A record in my domain with "PSSR" which means "Password Self Service Recover". Basically this software helps end user to reset his/her password without admin help. Here are the steps to follow;
1) Open the link http://pssr:8888
showing as below screen shot.
1)
Enter your AD login details in login and
password field as shown below.
1)
First you must “Enrolment” yourself by clicking enrollment button on top. For
enrollment purposes you will fill in answers of two Security questions and
click on “Update” at bottom. After
enrollment you will see the message on top that “You have already enrolled for
security questions and answers” as shown in below figure.
1)
After successful enrollment you needs to sign
out and click on “Reset Password”
link at bottom showing in figure below.
1)
After clicking “Reset Password” button you will see the following page and must
put your login in “Domain User Name” and
make sure in Domain Name selected,
now click “Continue” button.
1)
After clicking “Continue” button you will see following page, now you need to answer
of your already chosen “Security
Questions” and one Captcha text than click on “Continue” button and you have reset your password successfully.
